I know what I want. Always. There's really not a single time that I can remember where I was asked something and my answer was "I don't know." I grew up in Texas on a cattle ranch. Beef is a religion in my family. I was raised to work as hard as I play and I still abide by that rule. I have been married twice...to the same person. I would never suggest doing that and I wasted 18 years of my life doing just that. I'm very family oriented and Thanksgiving and Christmas is spent around my parents' table every year. I do hope to be able to have a place that I can invite my family to my own table, but we'll see.

I was born and raised in a small town near San Antonio called Bandera. My family owns a cattle ranch and I grew up helping around and learning my mother's tricks in the kitchen at the same time. My family is a Christian family that went to church, but we don't preach the religion and let everyone be what they want to be.

I married straight out of high school, it was somewhat expected in my family. I was divorced by the time the third anniversary rolled around. I can't tell you how many times I've heard a good bitching at from my folks for it either. Not long after that, I got back together with that son of a bitch and married him again. This time, I stuck it out and spent the worst 14 years with him. Divorced him again and once it was final, I left Texas for California. I figured, if I can't be happy with my folks thinking I'm a baby for spending half of my life miserably with a man that just shut me out, then that's fine. I still make it back to Texas for Thanksgiving and Christmas though. As much as I tried to shut out my family, my roots bit me in the ass and I caved in.

Now that I'm spending my third year on my own, I couldn't be happier. I work my ass off and I play my ass off. I enjoy life and hope everyone else can do the same! My motto: Work for what you get!

Speaking of which, I definitely fell into the right place at the right time. I found a job as soon as I found the small town of Washington, California. A man named Cord Lane hired me to be his stable master. It works out because I absolutely love horses and know my way around them pretty well. He's running a horse ranch but we're bordering against his old friends' ranches and they're working cattle. Cattle and horses...two things I've been born and raised to work with!

I also met an amazing man here and instead of heading back to Texas for the holidays, I'm inviting my family to Washington since I'm settled in very nicely here with a lot to show for it! I'm sure my horse, Nelly, will appreciate the holidays at an actual home for once! At least one without stress of people expecting much out of her favorite human.

Oh yeah, the name of that amazing man? Thorn Thomas. He's definitely a million times the man that dumb ex-husband of mine has ever been and I've only known him for just the summer so far! He does have quite a few kids, but they're all amazing just like their father and we've had quite a bit happen, but hopefully now it'll be nice and calm for awhile!
