arley was wondering why she was telling him all this stuff. She didn’t even know his name. Personal stuff wasn’t what she usually opened up with so it was a bit surprising to her. She felt like she could tell him anything though, and this was a new feeling for her. “Oh Judge and Lawson are your nephews then? Lawson is such a cutie. He was helping me the other day cleaning up from work. Which must mean Millie is your mother. She is such a sweetheart! I don’t know how she and Willie can handle all of those little ones at one time though. For some reason they just seem to flock to her.” She smiled at the guy. “Jax is like a big brother to me with his parents, my godparents. So I definitely like to get one over on him once in a while.” She smirked at the thought.

Hendrix took another drink and nodded. He loved his nephews and always made time for them back in Watonga. "Lawson must have a crush on you if he was actually doing work," he said with a chuckle. "I can't say I blame him though, he knows how to find the prettiest girls out there," he said, taking the opening to compliment her. He shrugged and said, "She's been my mom for a long time now. She's technically my stepmom, but truthfully, she's more than earned the Mama title from me and my twin. I think it's just one of those things that everyone knows that she will make sure you're taken care of and so everyone looks to her for mothering if they need it." He took a long drag from his cigarette, finishing it off and then putting the butt out before he took another drink of his beer. He was nursing it now, just to take his time talking to this girl. "Name's Hendrix, by the way," he told her with a smile.
Crocker's eyebrows went up and a slow sexy smirk came over his lips. He picked the pace up, leading his wife towards their room, but then stopping suddenly and scooping her up to go even quicker.

arley blushed hearing him say she was beautiful. Lawson may have a crush on her; she had no clue, but she wasn’t going to argue about it. She frowned, listening to him about Millie being his stepmother. “I did notice she had a different last name than Crocker and his boys, but it wasn't my business. You can tell she loves them no matter what. Just as I’m sure she does you. Why didn’t you transfer with your brother?” She asked him curiously wondering if he would be staying in Washington or if he was just heading for a visit. “I’m Harley James.” She introduced herself to him.

Hendrix shrugged and said, "She had Crocker with another man before she met my dad. My mother died when I was really young, so I don't really remember her much. There's just Mama Millie really." It was his life story, so it was more like second nature to him to just get it out there. He sighed then and said, "Well, my twin went MIA suddenly, so I headed out with my best friend Jethro to find her and make sure she was alright. Crocker didn't transfer until after we left." She didn't ask if he was transfering there so he didn't mention it, but then again, he'd immediately tell her he was transfering when they got there tomorrow. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Harley," he said, her name coming out in more of a intrigued growl than he intended, but he wasn't going to apologize for it either.

arley listened to him, and nodded about his family. Either way they were a family and that was all that mattered. Though she knew the story from the summer that it was Crocker’s father who had kidnapped all of the kids and the stories that had come out about the poor kids. Especially Crocker’s sisters. She frowned hearing him about his twin sister. “I hope you found her, and that she is alright.” She knew if one of her little brothers had gone missing she’d be on the warpath finding them. When he said her name the way he did a few shivers ran down her spine. No one had ever said her name that way before. “It’s a pleasure to meet you as well Hendrix.” She liked the way his name rolled off of her tongue.

Hendrix nodded and said, "I did. She'll be fine, thankfully, but we're heading up to Washington. She has a teaching job lined up at the new school. I can't wait to see our family again too." He took another drink and he groaned rememebering Jethro's text that he didn't respond to about Haven needing clothes. "By the way, not that I'm trying to rush off or anything, but do you know where the nearest store I can buy some clothes at? My twin was in such a hurry, she didn't grab any other clothes and the clothes she has, well, they're not exactly clean with the ride she's made thus far," he asked her, not really sure where he'd be able to get anything but he'd damn well try.

arley smiled hearing he found his sister. “Oh she’ll like the new school. I got a tour of it with the others. Wish I was still in school. Not that I really liked school anyhow, but I did go. A new building. One that smells new and the fresh paint well that’s a whole different story. If I didn’t have a degree in Graphic Design already I would jump at the chance to go to the college they are setting up in one wing.” She sighed a bit wistfully at the thought. “Course John Jacob did give me a catalog of the college classes going to be taught there. I haven’t had a chance to look at it yet.” She raised an eyebrow hearing him ask about clothes, and she wondered what his twin had been through to leave with just the clothes on her back. “What size is she? I have a box in the trailer that I was going to hand off to the other girls.” She answered and both her eyebrows shot up hearing Jimmy who turned bright red after saying about the same size as you. She could have swore she heard the word perfect after that. She heard some of the Sacramento guys burst into laughter as the poor boy fled.

Hendrix smiled, happy to be hearing nothing but good things about the school. He rose an eyebrow hearing she had a degree in graphic design. He was definitely impressed. She was not only beautiful, but smart as well. He barely graduated high school, and that was only thanks to Haven's help. His eyes darted over to the prospect, giving him an amused look when he immediately answered Harley's question about his sister's size. He looked back at Harley and gave her a smile as he looked her over, very apprasingly and said, "He's right, about your size, I would think. But anything would really help. She just really needs something to get to Washington. Once there, we can get her anything else she needs."

arley held back her laugh having watched Jimmy run. His dad and older brothers had witnessed it and were laughing at him. “Alright then.” She turned and looked over at her brothers still sitting at a table where she’d left them with the sons. “Houston! Hunter!” She called out to them, and when they looked over she sighed. “Can you guys grab the box I had you set to the side with clothes for the other girls? I need to get some clothes out of it for Hendrix’s sister here.” She told them and they both got up heading outside to grab it. “We can come up with something. It’s mainly jeans, t-shirts and shorts. I was going to make sure Raven had some more clothes after most of her jeans were cut up this summer with her cast.” She smiled at Hendrix more than happy to help him out. A thought ran through her mind of grabbing his hand and taking him back to her room, and she wondered where that had come from. She’d never had that kind of a thought before at all. She quickly pushed it away to the recesses of her mind. No she wasn’t some blushing virgin, but it had been since college since she’s been with anyone. He had turned out to be a real jerk and she had dumped him after a couple of months of dating.

Hendrix looked over when she called out two names and saw the guys get up and head outside. He looked back at her and smiled. "Thanks, I really appreciate the help," he told her, really grateful. He pulled his phone out and sent Jethro a text, "I got some clothes for Haven. Be back after awhile. Go ahead and get some sleep. That girl was pretty damn hot and I'm not going to leave her hanging as long as she wants to talk with me." He pocketed his phone back and took another drink of his beer. "So, you seem to have some sway in the guys here. I've noticed how you command a room with ease," he complimented her.

arley smiled at him when she turned back to him. “It’s not a problem at all. I’m happy to help out.” She noticed him texting someone, but didn’t say anything. She laughed hearing him about her commanding a room. “I definitely don’t do that. I’ve known most of these guys since I was little. My family ran the Harley Davidson store in Stockton. Most sons came to our dealership because of my dad being friends with John Teller and Piney.” She shook her head at him. Her little brothers came back shortly with the box and set it on the table she motioned to. She missed the looks that both of them sent to Hendrix. She moved over to the box, setting her bottled water on the table and opened it. Reaching in she pulled out a couple of pairs of jeans and t-shirts. Setting them on the table she was about to put the flaps back in but Houston did it for her, and he took the box back after asking her if she was finished with it, and she nodded watching them head back out with the box.
Jethro looked at his phone and bit back a laugh as Haven had finally fallen into a restless sleep. He knew she’d sleep better once Hendrix was in bed with her. “Don’t have too much fun.” He smirked as he toed off his boots, and then moved laying down on his makeshift bed. It was off to the side so Hendrix could still get to the bed when he did come in. He was tired, but not enough to fall asleep though so he was playing a few games on his phone, before he did fall asleep.

Hendrix didn't even bother reading the text, knowing Jethro, he probably just told him to have fun or let him know they had an early morning so they could get to Washington. He ignored the look from the boys that went to get the box for Harley. He wasn't dumb and knew that talking to a girl like Harley would come with some kind of repercussions, even if it was from guyst aht looked at her like a sister. He didn't blame them. He'd do the same for his twin. "I beg to differ, but I know how to choose my arguments," he told her with a smooth grin. He looked at the clothes then and said, "I'm sure she'll appreciate this. So, are you heading back to Washington tomorrow too?" His question was very hopeful.

arley wasn’t going to argue with him either, and just let it go. “Yes we are first thing in the morning. I think we're going to stop at the truckstop for breakfast, and then head back up to Washington. You're more than welcome to join us for breakfast and the trip up to Washington. The ride is quite enjoyable up the mountain. Road starts to wind pretty good, but makes it even better.” She loved the ride up to Washington. Had since she was a little girl and they’d go up there for vacations to stay at their Lodge. This ride up would be a lot more fun if Hendrix was riding with them. She reminded herself though that he might be heading back to Watonga soon, and that would suck. Though he had said his twin was going to teach at the new school so he might come visit quite often. Especially with the rest of his family there. She handed him the clothes with a smile hoping they did fit his sister. Both of the t-shirts were Harley Davidson ones, and the jeans were just regular jeans. “I hope these work for her, but Jimmy pretty much said they would.” She smirked hearing a few snorts from the Sacramento guys that were around at the tables drinking beer.

Hendrix nodded and said, "I don't see why not." He really didn't mind spending more time with Harley, even if it was with a group. He didn't think he'd end up sleeping in either, so he wasn't going to voice his concerns with that. He smiled at her and took the clothes. "I'm sure they'll be just fine. Thanks again," he told her, tucking the shirt under his arm as he downed the rest of his beer. "I'd hate to cut this conversation short, but I should get back to her and get some sleep. It's been a pretty long day, but I can't say I'm not liking the fact it led me to meeting you, Harley," he told her with a grin.

arley grinned at him. “Probably will be around nine or a little later the way the guys hate to get out of bed.” She smirked hearing grumbles from Kozik and Juice who she knew had been listening. “That’s Kozik and Juice. Both Redwood Originals.” She introduced them with both of them giving a wave when she said their name. “This is Hendrix. His brother is Crocker from the Washington Charter. That’s Houston and Hunter.” She introduced her brothers who came back then. “You're welcome.” She sighed when he said he had better go. “Yeah I need to get some sleep too. It was a long day packing up stuff and getting it loaded up in two separate trailers.” She admitted stifling a yawn that was trying to escape. “I’m glad it led you to meeting me.” She smiled at him hoping they got more of a chance to talk before he headed back to Watonga. She already didn’t like thinking about that. Not when she’d just meant someone who she felt was worthy of meeting.
